The 3rd Project Steering Committee (PSC) Meeting of the Clean Air for Sustainable ASEAN (CASA) was held on 15 July in Jakarta, Indonesia. Representatives from the Project Management Unit, ASEAN Working Group on Environmentally Sustainable Cities (AWGESC), the ASEAN Secretariat, the Mission of the Republic of Korea to ASEAN, and the ASEAN-Korea Programme Management Team (AKPMT) also attended the meeting.

The meeting served as a platform to review the project's key deliverables and deliberate on ongoing and upcoming activities.

Launched in 2023 and scheduled for completion by the end of 2026, the CASA Project aims to mitigate air pollution across ASEAN. The project focuses on analysing pollution sources and assessing their impacts on public health throughout the region.

Among the notable achievements to date is the support for the operation of ten air quality monitoring stations (AQMS) across four ASEAN Member States (AMS). By 2026, ten additional AQMS are planned for installation in five other AMS, significantly expanding regional monitoring capacity.

The PSC also discussed progress on the development of the CASA online platform and policy recommendations, as well as strategies to enhance cooperation with individual AMS moving forward.
