The Korean Council for University Education (KCUE) is the representative association of four-year universities in the Republic of Korea. KCUE members are the presidents of virtually all four-year universities in Korea-both public and private. The KCUE works to increase autonomy and innovation, strengthen accountability, and improve education in universities by advocating the government the interests of our members in academic, financial, and other matters and ensuring their reflection in higher education-related policies.

Specifically, The KCUE seeks to accomplish the followings:

  • Build a foundation for an advanced university admissions model and autonomy in admissions.

  • Develop a professional, internationally recognized system of higher education accreditation.

  • Conduct focused research on issues affecting universities and put forward policy proposals.

  • Provide diverse training programs founded on professionalism.

  • Support international networking and the cultivation of students with global perspectives.
