Korea Football Association Love Sharing Foundation

    1. Overview of Korea Football Association Love Sharing Foundation’ ‘

      In October 2004, the Foundation under the name “Youth Football Foundation” to promote the Grassroots Football with the contributions of KFA and the benefits of the ‘2002 FIFA World Cup Korea/Japan’. And in 2018, the name had been changed to ‘Korea Football Association Football-Love Sharing Foundation’ to expand its contribution to social contribution, national and international level support with football.

      The Foundation aims to contribute to its social responsibility such as the balanced development of Korea football and returning gained benefits not only to football industry but also to public through various social programs.

       
    2. Vision of Foundation

      - Change : The Foundation leads affirmative changes in football culture to enhance the brand equity of the Korean football.
      - Sustainability : secures the financial resources for sustainable projects.
      - Network : as football-specialized platform, the Foundation establish national and international network for football experts to share and cooperation.
      - Transparency : The foundation practices its social responsibility with transparency and its own expertise.

       
    3. Structure of Foundation

      Currently, 8 members of executive board with 1 chairman and audit members participate in the Foundation’s decision-making process. And 1 KFA staff manages administration office of the Foundation with 4 contract-based staffs are working for the implementation of the Foundation’s projects.

       
    4. Priority areas

      In order to achieve goals mentioned above, the Foundation;
      (1) develops and provides the national/international programs including the professional training for young football players, coaches, and referees,
      (2) establishes the football infrastructure for youth players,
      (3) supports academic activities, research and developing text material for football,
      (4) implements the football cooperation projects with the developing countries,
      (5) promotes the participation of low-income household to football.

       
    5. The projects of the Foundation(As of 2021)

      (1) The project to support the football-developing countries
      : The Foundation supplies sports equipment (football, cones etc.) to support the football infrastructure and hosts football tournament for youth football players.

      (2) The project to fund youth promising players
      : Scholarship program for youth football players, book sponsorship for young football players.

      (3) The funding project for low-income players including North Korean defectors

      (4) 1% Sharing of K-League clubs
      : Each K-League club spontaneously raises 1% of its salary to form a donation and supports the development of local football culture through supporting local program such as youth club clinic.
