Meeting with ASEAN Regional Mine Action Center (ARMAC)

Jakarta, 13 May 2024 – Republic of Korea (ROK) Mission to ASEAN, represented by Minister Park Yoon-Joo organized a working lunch with Ms. Rotha Burth, Executive Director of ARMAC and Mr. Sangmin LEE, Team Leader of AKPMT.

ARMAC is known to implement, “Enhance Victim Assistance Programme in the ASEAN Member States” project under AKCF since 2020. The USD 2,061,429.68 project aims to facilitate the establishment of regional victim assistance network, provides development of country profiles and psychosocial trainings for health practitioners to build their capacity on managing victim of landmines.

In its last year of project implementation, ARMAC shows its interest to seek possible cooperation in the future with ROK through AKCF. ARMAC also sought ROK’s feedback on the current implementation of the project.
